DD15 (HDEP) Major Repair (O/H) (5days) – CEP01

Series 60 Major Repair (O/H) (3 days) – CES08

MBE900 Major Repair (O/H) (3 days) – CEN03

MBE4000 Major Repair (O/H) (3 days) – CEF01

Objective: After completing this course the technician will be able to: Remove and reinstall all components relating to the Basic Engine, Fuel system, Air system, Lubricating system and Cooling system; understand each component function and operation. Identify and use all special tools that relate to each engine section.
Description: This course is designed to cover complete engine repair and function relating to the Base Engine, Fuel system components, Air system components, Lubricating system components and Cooling system components. Once assembled, run engine and verify operation.
Prerequisite: Basic Mechanical skills, successful completion of related engine web based training (Product Introduction)

DD15 Engine Diagnostics (5 days) – CEP02

Objective: After completing this course the technician will have a better understanding of how to diagnose and T/S various systems of the DD15.
Description: This course is designed to give technicians a review of the DD15 engine sub systems along with real world failure modes and analysis. This will include the following: EGR, Fuel, and Aftertreatment systems, Electronics and Mechanical Troubleshooting.
Prerequisite: Completed all DD15 WBT and DD15 Major Repair course

EPA 04 Engine Diagnostics (5 days) – CED01

Objective: This course replaces the former DDC8857 MBE Electronics and DDC8880 DDEC Electronics classes.
Description: This course is designed to give students a practical, comprehensive look at all phases of the T/S process for the EPA 04 S60, MBE900 and MBE4000
Prerequisite: Completion of at least 1Major Repair course. Completion of the following web based training courses; DDEC IV/V Electronics, MBE Electronics, DDEC Reports, Diagnostics 6.45.
Students required to bring their own multi-meter to class

2007 S60, MBE900/4000 Product Update (4 days) – CEU01

Objective: Provide On-Hwy technicians with information regarding the changes in the operation, control, maintenance and repair on the 07 engines.
Description: Covers all three products. Includes components and systems review, advance use of DDDL 7.0 and DDEC VI, hands on diagnostics exercises, after treatment system review and troubleshooting exercises.
Prerequisite: 04 Certified on either engine, S60, MBE900 or MBE4000, plus Web based courses 8928 Basic Diagnostics, 8929 ATS Introduction, 8930 MBE4000 Update, 8931 MBE900 Update & 8932 Series 60 Update

EPA 2010 Update (5 days) – CEU02

Objective: Provide On-Hwy technicians with information regarding the changes in the operation, control, maintenance and repair on the 2010 engines.
Description: Covers changes to the engines for 2010 emissions. Review the components and operation of the SCR system. Discuss On Board Diagnostics (OBD) operation and changes to DDEC VI.
Prerequisite: Completed associated WBT and DD15 Certified.

Note: For non G2 members there is an additional CD(s) that must be purchased and viewed by the student before attending the classroom training.

3000/4000 Product Families Maintenance (2 Days)

Objective: Upon completion of this course attendees will complete the corresponding Product Families Maintenance Training Path.
Description: Two day instructor led training program available upon completion of the E-learn Web Based Training (WBT) modules associated with the corresponding Product Families Maintenance Training Path. Covered topics provide reinforcement and practical application of the WBT modules and focus on transmission diagnosis. Upon successful completion attendees receive TCM reprogramming certification which can be provided to SPX-Kent Moore for Allison DOCTM Reprogramming certification. Training topics include: How to use available resources, Preventive maintenance procedures, Maintenance level repairs, Diagnostic first steps, General Troubleshooting Procedures and Troubleshooting using Allison DOCTM.
Prerequisite: Completion of all Allison E-Learn Web-Based Training Modules associated with the corresponding Product Families Maintenance Training Path.

Objective: Upon completion of this course attendees will complete the corresponding Product Families Overhaul Training Path.
Description: Two day instructor led training program available upon completion of the E-learn Web Based Training (WBT)
modules associated with the corresponding Product Families Overhaul Training Path. Covered topics provide reinforcement and practical application of the WBT modules, and, as a group, attendees overhaul a transmission in a lab environment.
Prerequisite: Completion of all Allison E-Learn Web-Based Training Modules associated with the corresponding Product Families Overhaul Training Path and completion of the entire corresponding Product Families Maintenance Training Path.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

• Tuition: There is a tuition fee of $250.00 per day per student for all classes. Manuals are NOT included in the tuition fee. There will be additional charges for manuals. Lunch is NOT provided
• Enrollment: Enrollment is open to sponsored users of Detroit Diesel and Allison products, authorized Dealers and Distributors. Written confirmation will be issued.
• Custom Classes: Johnson & Towers offers custom classes tailored to meet your needs (providing course content and enrollment is acceptable). Call to discuss your needs.
• Canceling: Johnson & Towers reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the proposed classes.
• Attire: We suggest that you bring suitable clothing (i.e. long pants and steel toe safety shoes) for working on stripped engines and transmissions. No other equipment or material will be required as Johnson & Towers will supply the necessary tools and special equipment.
• Times: All classes will begin at 8:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM with a one-hour break for lunch.
