Johnson & Towers is an authorized warranty center for Detroit Diesel, Mercedes Benz, Allison Transmission, MTU, MCI, Oshkosh and (in our NJ locations) Caterpillar and Autocar on highway engines. We specialize in all makes repairs to all truck, trailer and bus OEMs. In addition to the traditional resources of trained technicians and service bay capacity, we have vehicles equipped for onsite Fleet Maintenance. We offer a wide range of PM and full service contracts that will fit your needs. We employ two full-time trainers authorized in Detroit and Allison products. Our facilities are equipped with chassis dynos, heavy duty lifts, and state of the art diagnostic equipment.
Whether you are a large fleet or an independent driver or owner/ operator, we have a program that is right for you! We can tailor a PM Program to suit your Company’s needs.
Our state-of-the-art systems allow us to quickly diagnose performance problems with any make or model truck and bus. This diagnostic approach provides accurate information, making repairs quick and economical.
In NJ, we offer Federal Inspections and Smoke Testing Services.
Capable of doing warranty work for Detroit Diesel, Mercedes Benz, MTU and (in our NJ locations) Caterpillar and Autocar on highway engines. Our technicians are also capable of working on all makes of engines including Navistar, Paccar, Mack, Volvo, etc.
Capable of doing warranty work on Allison on highway, off highway and hybrid transmissions. Our technicians are also trained on repairing all makes and models out of warranty such as ZF, Detroit, Eaton Fuller, Isuzu, Meritor and many more.
For Detroit engines we stock genuine factory cleaned DPF replacement units. For other OEMs each location is equipped with Donaldson DPF cleaning machines for restoring your DPF to like new condition.

Short on drivers or want to save your drivers hours of service? Our hiker service will help get your trucks where they need to be. Whether you need to bring a truck in for service or repairs, or you need help coordinating delivery to another location, we can help.
To schedule hiker service, please contact the service department at any of our branch locations.
Please note: Hiker service is available within a 30 mile radius of the servicing location. To get on the schedule, it’s best to contact us early.

If your truck is coming to Johnson & Towers for service or repairs, we will collect and deliver your truck, for free.
As long as we have access to the property, we can pick-up and deliver your truck at any time.
It isn’t cost-effective to have a driver shuttle a truck to and from a service shop. Keep your drivers behind the wheel of revenue generating jobs and leave the hiking to us.
